This Applicant Privacy Notice (the “Privacy Notice”) describes how we handle your Personal Data in connection with our employee recruiting process. “Personal Data”, as used in this Privacy Notice, means information that relates to an identifiable individual (e.g., name, email address, employment background, transcripts). Providing us Personal Data in connection with recruiting is voluntary. However, if you choose not to provide such information, it may impact our ability to consider you for employment.

However, we reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Notice at any time to comply with legal requirements or IRC’s internal policies and procedures. We may collect Personal Data from the following sources. Please note that the following list is intended to be illustrative and is not exhaustive.

     Job applicants’ Personal Data submitted directly through the online application process and follow-up communications and/or alternative channels
Data Provided by Third Parties
   Third parties may provide Personal Data about a job applicant. The following are examples of where we might source this information:
      Recruitment firms
      Job applicant references
      Internal referrals for job applicant
      Information provided in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale or purchase of assets.
This Privacy Notice also applies to information made publicly available online. This includes information published to LinkedIn or other social media websites.

We do not request or require sensitive personal information concerning religion, health, sexual orientation, or political affiliation in connection with recruiting. We may ask for information such as race or ethnicity for the purpose of monitoring equal opportunity; however, we do not require applicants to provide race or ethnicity information, and if you provide this information, it will not be viewable in the hiring or selection process. If you have a disability and would like us to consider any accommodation, you may provide that information during the recruiting process.

Use of data
Why do we collect your Personal Data?
   To communicate with you;
   To evaluate your candidacy for employment and to maintain recruitment records;
   Ensure our compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;
   To perform background and criminal history checks; and
   For any other reasonable purpose in connection with your job application.

Data Security
We follow industry standards and best practices to safeguard the Personal Data we collect. These precautions are intended to help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure correct use of information. However, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches, and we cannot and do not guarantee that its security procedures will prevent unauthorized access to or disclosure of your information.

How can we share?
We share Personal Data with trusted third parties whose involvement is necessary to carry out the services set forth above (see “Use of Data” above). We only provide the Personal Data that the third party requires to deliver services. These third parties are restricted from using Personal Data for any other purpose.

How can I correct my Personal Data?
If your Personal Data changes (such as your zip code, phone number, or email address), you may log into your account and edit those portions of your account you would like to update. Please note that these changes may not change or delete information that we may have already forwarded to a third party, as provided above in this Privacy Notice.  

How can I opt out?
If you accept the opportunity to be contacted by us, either by personal mail, email, telephone, or other direct marketing initiative, you can revoke that acceptance by writing to careers@americanrenal.com.
